With Spybot.
  • Uninstall resident protection of SpybotSD (reactivate after disinfection)
  • Run Spybot> Advanced> Tools>> Residents
  • Uncheck the resident "tea timer" and close Spybot

Re: Vista infected with virus Tr/crypt.xpack.gen

Disable the UAC (you reactivate after disinfection) as follow.
  • The UAC (User Account Control) is a new feature in Windows Vista, its function is to control the installation and administration of the computer requesting an increase of privilege. Only when you are an administrator of your computer and single user, it may be interesting to remove.

  • To do this go to the "Control Panel" then click "User Accounts". In the new window click again on "User Accounts".

  • Then the bottom click "activate or deactivate the control of user accounts. In the resulting window, uncheck the box "use control user accounts to help you protect your computer"

  • and click OK.

  • You will be asked to restart. Once the computer restarts, you will not have darkening the brightness of your screen with your request for permission to continue to install software or change a setting.

WARNING
: Disable UAC significantly decreases the security of your PC
