Can we use Internet from admin account

Our antivirus is very accustomed to send alert messages after being on some websites. It detects potential viruses in Temporary Internet files from Youtube or even for eBay.

Is it true that we should not go on the Internet if you are logged in as admin of the computer? I am the admin but I need to access the Internet quiet often to receive mails and book airline tickets or order online.

Ideally an administrator can more easily modify any data on a computer. That is why many people advice (I'm also one of them) not to work permanently as an administrator. It is not because of security, but it is my opinion. And if your PC is not having firewall, anti-spyware and/or antivirus then I advise never use admin account while surfing the net.

There are many new and almost invisible viruses. Some thoughts on security:

- A PC must be updated: windows update, updated antivirus, up-to-date antispyware.
- A PC must have a firewall filtering inbound and outbound control applications. (the XP SP2 firewall is a minimum).
- Malware today arrives by email, msn messenger, and other open source software to the Internet.
- Malware target weaknesses more obvious and widespread: IE, outlook, ...
- A "virus" is human: DO NOT click to go.
- A mail coming from someone I do not know, having an incomprehensible topic, with body language and/or incomprehensible should be deleted without executing the attachment.
