In Having well documented, it appeared that all means of protection (WEP, WPA, WPA2, MAC, hide the SSID) wifi was 100% secure.
After there is a classification to be done.
Better protection: WPA or WPA2 key with 63 characters (totally random)
Avoid: WEP (WEP also has abandoned wifi ) (hacks in 60 seconds under Linux)
Outside Rankings
-The case of protection is to MAC, but does not ultimately protect as many as you want. It is more cumbersome than anything else, since the hacking of such protection takes 5 minutes on Linux (apparently).
-Hide the SSID is not great either (hacking easily Linux)
Hacker key WPA or WPA2 returns to reconstitute the key, bit by bit ... work long enough, which can actually discourage potential hackers.
The difference between WPA and WPA2 is held because it lies only in the encryption key (TKIP for WPA and AES-CCMP for WPA2 (more complicated))
I recommend this site to generate a random code 63 characters (each refresh):

Otherwise it good to see how hacker and especially to defend themselves against hacking

Basically, I copy my key in a text file and I place on usb key to set the other PC.
