Norton - Removal

I purchased a new computer, and there is pre-installed Norton antivirus. This, I would like to remove and replace with Bullguard. I've heard that it may be difficult to remove Norton from the machine and to use a small program to remove it entirely, is there anyone who knows where to find it?
