Port forwarding

Sponsored Links
Here after I started to dig around a bit in the computer world, many programs I noticed that many things require (or is it best) to a port forwarder port. I have just the problem that I do not know how to change the settings in my router. I use the router "Linksys WAP54G" and I have a static IP address. It says you have to enter its ip in the address field, it makes me so stuck and I will just go into a "page can not be displayed".

All help is much appreciated.

IP should be: 192.168.1.1
Username: admin
Password: either admin or password.

Well Milton.J, but it just does not. I have searched a little around the Web and found out that "Linksys WAP54G" is not a router but a accespoint. So now I'm totally lost and have no idea what my router is and how I get it.

So try this IP: 192.168.1.245

Did the Wizard for your accespoint (which is just a wireless router )

Has run a scan of all IP addresses with a program called angry ip. It took 192.168.1.2 which is what I use 192.168.1.1 as the default and is known as 192.168.1.6. I went into it with 6 to the end and then I was asked for password and username. I tried admin / admin I tried admin / code for it and I tried the name of the network / code to the network, nothing worked.

EDIT: I now got hold of the sq... Where should I go to port forward?

EDIT2: Found out what my router is. It is an efficient networks 5781. So should I just find out how I get into it.

EDIT3: Found my answer and that is that I can not come to change the config. Because of that it is a router which is leased by TDC since we have received it by my father's work. It costs 950 - to get them to do it on .. What a trick.
