Phone line and wireless router issue

I am having problem with my phone and wireless router. Whenever my phone is occupied, we are unable to use internet. I don't really know what is the issue. I checked the firmware but its up-to-date. Also checked the settings in the router, restarted and also reset the router but all of them didn't worked at all and this is setting me crazy. Can anyone help me or explain me why is this happening?

Is your router set to give out more than one IP?? DHCP settings.

Yes its has DHCP settings enabled but that doesn't matters I think.

Is this only happening while connecting wirelessly or does it occur when connected wired? Also are you using cordless phone or having some wireless instrument nearby such as wireless microwave or oven; having heavy material like a big metal object?

Yeah I am using the cordless phone. Does it have any effect on my wireless router? If yes then what should I do?

Yes if affects the signals of the router. Change the channel (other than 2.4GHz because your cordless phone works on this channel) by going to your router's page. As I don't know which router are you using and since every router uses different style, so you have to search it on the manufacturer's manual for guidance.
