The manufacturer IOGEAR today unveiled a package to connect a VGA monitor to a computer using the USB Wireless technology. It consists of a transmitter in the form of a USB dongle and a receiver that is a VGA connector. There were already accessories that can be used to transmit a signal VGA or DVI wireless, but it is the first to use technology WUSB, which takes off timidly. The specialist in the computer accessory combines two technologies that already had the catalogue, namely the USB wireless controllers and USB graphics, in a single product. Certified by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the package allows the transmission of a video signal HD Ready (720p) in a radius of approximately 10 metres.
IOGEAR suggests some uses, such as office or viewing of photographs, but not talking about video ... And rightly so because the technology Wireless USB, ceiling to 480 Mbps under optimal conditions, is insufficient for the video. This product is compatible with Windows XP SP2 32-bit Windows Vista 32 and 64 bits, is due to the USA in September at a recommended retail price of 230 dollars. No announcement has yet been made on the European market but the majority of IOGEAR products are available.
