Replacing Norton antivirus for Windows XP

I want to change my Norton because my subscription is over. And I have also heard negative points about it. So what antivirus should be the best for a windows xp user?

Also you will have to follow the steps below if you want to completely remove Norton:
Remove / Uninstall Norton Antivirus / Norton Internet Security

I recommend NOD32 & Kaspersky7, in that order.
The new build of NOD32 is just terrific, IMHO.
