Advice to help my neighbour

My neighbour told me that his computer has recently been infected by some virus because of brute force hacking method which he got to know from internet. So he asked me to help him to get rid of it. He said that he tried different antivirus softwares to remove it but nothing helped him. He then requested me to use a batch file (which he will send me) to solve the problem. What should I do know? I am using McAfee Antivirus.

A batch may harm your computer also, so I would recommend not to accept the batch file unless and until you know the neighbour very well.

This means that he knows about hacking methods and wants to do something unusual from your system. Brute force hacking uses a program that will guess your password(s). So he may either harm your computer locking your admin account or may use your computer to do some illegal operations which you may never come to know. Don't ever accept and/or run any files from him.

In addition rather than being offensive, you can advice him to use some better antivirus softwares such avast, kaspersky, etc
