How to completely remove virus on pen drive

About a week ago a virus was found by my antivirus software in my pen drive. I successfully removed the virus on that day. But again I am getting the same virus in pendrive. I tried to format the pen drive but was of no use. I am using WinXP on my system. I think it has infected my system also. What should I do?

Try booting in safe mode and then delete the file using DOS. Also you can format the pen drive in Safe Mode. It should remove the viruses completely.

Scan your computer and your pen drive with a good anti virus software and try to remove the virus.

Open Command Prompt -> Type the drive name say G: -> Type ATTRIB -H -R -S AUTORUN.INF -> Type EDIT AUTORUN.INF -> A new window appears; delete all the contents and click on File -> Save and click on File -> Exit

On command prompt -> Type ATTRIB +H +R +S AUTORUN.INF -> Type EXIT

Remove and reinsert the pen drive.

Now, The virus is completely removed.
