scan your PC with Avast anti-virus
I scanned with avast and there was this virus that i had found although deleting it several time wont make it come back. Moreover, this virus is slowing down my Internet connection.
Apparently I also have another virus:
Name malicious log: Win32: Downloader-SNB [trj] (Other)
Type log malicious: Trojan
I would like to know if I format the pc , so that the virus is permanently deleted?
1) A disinfection with appropriate tools is faster (no need to reinstall any)
2) A disinfection is more educational: you can often see where the infection comes, and so avoid repeating the same mistake ...
3) A format of the hard drive does not necessarily cures infection! The infection can lodge in the removable media where you are going to save your documents before formatting (USB key, CD, external hard drive ...), or in the area beginning of the hard disk.
To see what these infections on your computer, download hijackthis
Install it, launch and click on "Do a system scan and save a logfile."

Hello Malhari! You can quarantine any virus whenever it is detected. Infected files in the secured Quarantine cannot spread viruses into other areas of the computer.
