hi..
I dont think that a computer has 2 different ips for different OS. Both the OS must be having the same ip address.
Thanks for the reply.
Can anybody tel me what the "arp" and the "route" command means, the output?
as root you can try this
If your ethernet connection is eth0# ifconfig
then you will see a line like this one:
inet addr:182.168.1.35
This is your LAN ip address. Which should be same for both your OS.
/sbin/ifconfig
is the command alternatively if it wont work
& for windows open a console (Start->Execute : command) and type ipconfig.
I also want to know ip address of the computers connected to my computer how is it possible?
You have wireless switch that usually records all ips of computers connecting to it. Where you also get ability to view & or revoke any specific IP. Don't know how to do this but it is possible.
there is some command in unix... might be ps command can help which will even show which are the port used.. by other also... and even there is some command in windows "trackroute" can trace compelete route of the site..
NTP Server
Hit start in the lower left, type cmd and hit enter. Once that comes up type,"ipconfig /all" that will show EVERY IP address connected to you. will also show descriptions to each one, depending.
