move autotext entries from Word 2003 to Word 2007

I cannot move my old autotext entries from Word 2003 to Word 2007 after following some advice given by some experts. I am trying to rename the old normal.dot to autotext.dot and want to place it into user app.data folder. Then I am trying to move BuildingBlocks.dotx out of this folder so that there is only one folder left in the 1031, namely Autotext.dot that is renamed file from normal.dot from Office XP, but it will not work with me. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks

When you open Word, then can you try to use Insert >> Quick Parts >> Building Blocks organizer, then do you see the Autotext.dot template listed? If so, then is the name of the entry NYT? Normally, the F3 shortcut uses the name of the entry, not its content. Incase the item is not listed, then move its location up one folder in the directory tree and then restart Word and see if that works out for you.
