Winword.exe R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call

I am using Windows XP Pro with SP2 installed; it is having Office 2003 SP3, Trend Office Scan and updated with all recently windows updates and patches. This system was working fine since a year but don’t know what went wrong suddenly, it started giving me the following error message whenever I open MS Word:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\WINWORD.EXE
R6025 -pure virtual function call

Any help please?

Well the problem is not with Word for sure, it might be due to some third party application. Anyways, I found two Microsoft Knowledge base Articles which may help you out with this problem. Just check the following:

We are getting this error with Office 2007. It is creating a great deal of trouble for our users and we are considering switching to Open Office.

Any help would be appreciated.
