Can I get a Harvard author date reference style for word 2007?

I am trialing office 2007 mainly wanting to access the reference style
feature but my university stipulates Harvard Author date style which is not
listed. Is there some way that I can add this to the program?

Re: Can I get a Harvard author date reference style for word 2007?

The Word 2007 bibliography/citation feature is 'extensible' by addomg or modifying XML/XSD files. As one of the main consumers of
this feature are folks in university level, and there are definitely folks in that sphere who are fluent in XML and would need the
Harvard feature, I had sort of expected that by now someone would have created the files (Microsoft has not at last check) and made
then them available, but so far I haven't come across the Harvard style ones.

It has been mentioned in a couple of sources that combining APA and GOST169 that it comes very close to meeting the Harvard
requirements.

Yes, you can!

These awesome people have put together a collection of referencing styles for word 2007.

Word 2007 Alternate Referencing Styles

Each "style" used in word is a file called an XMS file and is kept on the computer in a specific folder, most likely: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Bibliography\Style

All you have to do is download the "BibWord Styles", open the zip file and drag whichever styles you need into the above folder. There are 2 alternative Harvard formats - Leeds and Anglia - in this style pack. My uni actually prefers a 3rd style called Harvard - Exeter, but Anglia is close enough for me!
