Office XP Tool: Global IME (Japanese) for Office 2007

I want to know if i can install Global IME (Japanese) of Office XP in Office 2007 ?? Will that work? Actually i have tried installing the XP version but it doesn't gets installed at all. It keeps saying "Failed to install" after reaching random points.

By now i have tried installing it more than 10 times but i haven't got any luck. Has anyone tried installing Global IME (Japanese) of Office XP in Office 2007 ? I just want to confirm if ti works before trying out myself.

No you wont be able to install Global IME (Japanese) of Office XP in Office 2007, they both are different versions.

If you want to use Japanese for Input in Office 2007, then you can go in to Control panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages and install 'Supplemental language support' files. Once you are done with the same you can restart your system. You can now go to that dialog and in the Languages tab, select Details and add "Japanese Keyboard input choice". Just make sure that you are going in to Advanced option and make it available in applications.

In Word 2007 you can click on help (F1) and type 'Japanese' and select the 'Enable Windows to support typing text in another language' for additional details. Once it gets installed you can change your keyboard layouts from the Language Bar in Word 2007.
