Proofing tools registry details

Does anyone know where i can find or send me the the details of what the
following registry entry should contain?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing
Tools\1.0\Override\en-US

My spell checker doesn't work and so many people have said that if i delete
that registry entry it will rebuild itself but it doesn't.

Maybe if i mimic what the entry says i can figure the problem out from there.

Kind Regards

Mally

Re: Proofing tools registry details

If you have that key in the Registry then it shouldn't be there. It's not a
key that should be rebuilt after deleting/renaming it. Have you tried
renaming it to see if it resolves your spell check issue?

RE: Proofing tools registry details

Thanks Beth

That key wasn't originally there so I created it and delted it after reading
several forum messages.

I'm just going to use a third party spell checker, i've spent too much time
tring to resolve the issue.

Thanks everyone for the their help

Re: Proofing tools registry details

Are you referring to Outlook Express perhaps? If so then the best solution
is to use a third party spell checker.
