1099-MISC forms needed to complete and send to independent consult

First, let me thank you for reading my question and I hope someone can
assist. We need to obtain the 20007 IRS 1099-MISC forms (not just
informational) and complete them with the correct information for each
independent consultant.

The IRS site provides "informational" 1099-MISC forms only, which cannot be
updated, hence, are useless to us.

Does anyone know a way around this as we are running out of time? I am
grateful for any information provided...thank you for your time and expertise.

Kindest Regards,

You can buy them at Staples, Office Max, Office Depot...etc. - either just
the forms or with the helper CD.

Re: 1099-MISC forms needed to complete and send to independent consult

You really should need to contact the IRS -- they can provide the official
forms for you. If you don't submit forms that are in compliance with their
"scannable" standards you could be fined $50 for each submission that is not
in compliance. (We all know the IRS will fine you if they can...)

If you found the example 1099-MISC on their site then it also contains a
phone number and a link for contacting them to obtain the proper forms.

Check www.irs.gov for this information or visit your local office.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email cannot be acknowledged.
