My Keyboard is locked up in all MS Office programs only

LAst week I had my laptop on my lap (first mistake), I was in a word document
and it slipped of my lap and I grab at it and hiot some keys at the same
time. After that I can not type any this in word, excel or power point. It
works well in this format. I tried to unlock the document but the drop
downsare all light gray and not responding. I can not open a new document in
any of the programs also.
Please help, I know this may be minor for some of you but it's major to me.
My ofice disc are home and I am on the road for another month.

It sounds like you have an expired version of Office, not a malfunctioning
keyboard.

Thank you. how would I know it's expeired? I have had this software for
years why would it expire?
