I used group policy to install the compatibility pack to network computers and wanted to also update the msi with sp1 msp. So, I ran the command: msiexec /a <path> o12conv.msi /p <path> o12convspi-en-us.msp. The command is running and we can see the installed run and disappear but no files get updated as ther are supposed to, file dates dont change on the msi and nothing. Incase you want then run the msi, and you will get the compatibility pack with no service pack. I then tried shortfilesnames=true which is also not working. I think that the command paths are proper because if I even make either path incorrect, then I get an error. Below is the log, that does indicate that its successful at the bottom:
