How to convert .cdr (CoralDraw) files to another format

What are the different options available that can allow me to convert a .cdr file to any other format. I want to use the same on different photo editing software. I am sure there will be some convertor available that can allow me to convert it and then open it applications like photoshop. But the important thing here is to keep the file proper. It must not be corrupted.

There is no way to do that. You can save as the file in Corel Draw itself in various format and on that basis you can use it on different applications. The .cdr file is generated by corel draw and it will work in that only. You cannot use that on office application or any other software. It is not at all possible.

There are some third party software available that can allow you to do that. Like IrfanView. This software is capable of reading .cdr file format. But somehow it will not give you the complete features. It is recommended that you must use Corel only for cdr files. I had tried to do the same thing on psd files. The quality of the files were degraded when I tried to convert them. Many things from the same were removed.

There are some set of convertors that work but I do not guarantee. I had see some cdr viewer and convertor also. It is correct that you might get a spoiled quality of what you are trying to have. The files are best designed for Corel Draw and it works well in the same. There is no way to use it on any other application.

I did that and it does not happen. I found a convertor that allow me to convert the cdr files in png and other image format. But that is restricted. I cannot make any changes that I can do in corel draw. So if you want a stick to static images then convertor is going to work best for you.

I appreciate your offer but I will need to be able to convert files in
the future. I am sure you don't want me contacting you all the time. I
don't think I need CoralDraw for other uses. But thanks for your help.

Steve helped solve my problem. A friend had sent me a MS link on how to add
the converter to Office. I followed the process but I could not get an
image. The document did not provide all the details on how to use.

Inserting the picture was the key. When I did that, Word converted the file
so that I could at least look at it in Word.
