download Office Basic 2007

Two days ago I bought a License key for Office 2007 Basic edition. Note, I only bought the card with license key and not the media CD. The seller told me that I can simply download Office Basic 2007 from Microsoft website and use this key for activating the same. I searched entire Microsoft Website but dint found Basic Edition anywhere. Surprising.

Alternatively I downloaded other Office editions like standard, student, etc and tried to use the purchased license key but it wont work with them. Can anyone please tell me what is the problem?

Basically that seller has cheated you because Office Basic Editions are OEM version and are only sold with new Laptops or Desktop. It comes built-in from the hardware manufacturer. So you cannot get it for download anywhere on the web. So what I can suggest you is the license you bought is not legit. You must return it to the seller and get your money back.
