Outlook freezes / hangs

I am having some problem with Outlook, it will just freeze when I am getting emails greater than 1.5mb. The pc will freeze if I am trying to uninstall Office or try and perform any maintenance task. I have already removed all antivirus and related software but I am still facing the same issues. The only way to solve this issue to restart the computer. I have also tried safe mode but it seems that Outlook freezes anyway. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks.

Can you tell us whether you are connected to an exchange server or are you using POP? Also how big is your mail file, just let us know?

It is just connected to POP3 mail and the .pst file which is less than 25mb. The mail message I am trying to receive is just 2mb but it is the only computer on the network with this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Can you try to run the program scanpst.exe, you will find it on the C: drive, just look for it there. Also ensure that Outlook is closed and not accessing the PST file. Simply run the program against any pst's Outlook which might be using until you get no errors found, it might also take 2 to 4 times to accomplish it.
