Removing product key to transfer Office to another machine

I am using my copy of Office on 3 machines but I am getting rid of an old laptop and want to remove Office from that, so will I still have my third product key available for another computer in the future? If so, then how can I do that? Thanks.

Unlike Adobe, that has an online mechanism for removing the license from a copy of Acrobat, so it can be licensed on a different computer, microsoft has no such mechanism. You can remove office from the old laptop and install it onto the one. If you cant proceed with activation, then follow the instructions for telephone activation and explain the issue.
