Automatic File name path for Word 2007

I have a Windows XP system at home which was running with Office 2003. Don’t know why I was not able to use Insert Button and automatically Insert my file name and path in the bottom of my document. Hence now I upgraded the same to Office 2007. I though it can atleast allow me to do what I was not able to do in Office 2003 but here as well I cannot see that option.

Can somebody please let me know how to do this automatically without typing it all the type and accidently leave out one of the paths. Many thanks.

In Word 2007 I guess you can do this by typing filename a and pressing F3 key (a = path). By doing so it will convert the AutoText entry into the appropriate field. To use the ribbon interface... Insert ribbon tab - Quick Parts – Building Blocks Organizer, click on Filename and path, then click Insert. See if it helps.

This tip was really useful - I did the steps Herb T mentioned and it worked great! Thanks

    Hi,

It was possible earlier to know the file path by simply right clicking on the toolbar and select the web toolbar which will show the file path.

May I know how can we get this in Word 2007 ?

Also is there any intuitive concept which I am missing and asking this question? Please help.

    Thanks,
