Copying tables from Word 2007 to Word 2003

We are having word 2003 documents with some tables and versions in it. We have a client using word 2007, we have to open 2003 documents in word 2007 and paste some contents in it and save it. When saving is done we are loosing all the versions saved in word 2003. Also if we copy the content (in word 2007 tables) from client machine and paste in word 2003 document, table format is lost and getting distorted.

Can anybody help me out to resolve this.

    Thanks in anticipation.

The problem appears due to the lack of options available in Microsoft Office 2003. And you cannot fix the same. You can try to use the most least formatting done to table in Microsoft Office 2007 and then copy the table directly in 2003. Second you can also try to save the file in Microsoft Office Word 2003-2007 compatibility format.
