cannot start Outlook MaPI32.DLL is corrupt or wrong version

As per the title, I am not able to start Outlook because MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or wrong version. All other Office application are working properly. Why am I getting error with Outlook only? Any help would be appreciated.

    Try to rename Mapi32.dll:
    1. Quit Outlook.
    2. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
    3. Type Mapi32.dll in the Named box.
    4. In Look In, click to select My Computer, and click Find Now.
    5. Right-click to select Mapi32.dll in the search results list.
    6. Click Rename, type Mapi32.old, and press ENTER to accept the name change. If there are multiple copies of Mapi32.dll in the list, rename each.
    7. Close the Find Files window and start Outlook.

You can try to replace a Missing or Damaged Mapi32.dll File by following the below method:

    1. Quit Outlook.
    2. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
    3. In the Named box, type mapi32.dll.
    4. In the Look in box, click My Computer, and then click Find Now.
    5. In the search results list, right-click Mapi32.dll, and then click Rename.
    6. Type Mapi32.old, and then press ENTER. If there are multiple copies of the Mapi32.dll file in the list, rename each copy.

You don't need to be in safe mode. Just rename mapi32.dll and msmapi32.dll to the .old extension and restart Outlook.
