Help on re-installing Photo Editor

Sponsored Links
After when I installed office 2003, the Photo Editor disappeared, because office 2003 automatically removes Photo Editor. I then removed Office 2003 and reinstalled Office 2000 Pro, but still there no Photo Editor installed. PhotoEd.exe appears on the C drive, but when I click on the same icon, then it will only make the icon appear on the taskbar and nothing else? I have even tried to Repair it but without any luck. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks.

Re: Help on re-installing Photo Editor

Actually, Microsoft has replaced Photo Editor with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, a new photo editing and cataloging program in Office 2010, in Office 2007, and in Office 2003. For more information, check on this link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817095/en-us

Re: Help on re-installing Photo Editor

Thanks for the reply, I have checked that MS link and I know that installation of Office 2003 removes Photo Editor. But as I said, I have removed Office 2003 and reinstall Office 2000, but still Photo Editor will not get installed? Is there any other ideas that you can give me? Thanks.

Re: Help on re-installing Photo Editor

By now you have found some other solution somehow but in case you check back here every 500 years or so: once you get the old MS Photo Editor slap a copy of thewhole file into a folder on desktop and then click on the exe file. It puts an icon on the bottom task bar. Click or double click on that icon and then when you get a grey box above the icon, right click and chose the option to maximize the box and voila, you have opened and enlarged MS photo Editor. It's usable but don't like very large files.

Nothing beats it for fast and easy. yep, I use Windows 7 now.
