| Dragon Naturally Speaking Office 2007 Voice Recognition Voice to T
Just to repeat using more keywords: Nuance's Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred 9.10 works in Office 2007 products. It integrates fully with Outlook 2007 and Word 2007. As a bonus, it takes less training time and so far it seems to be much more accurate than the SDK 5 engine. The time from spoken word to printed text is a little long at first, but it decreases as the program builds its archive of user characteristics and word use and style. I am a shipboard electrician in the U.S. Merchant Marine and I have computer skills only slightly more advanced than those of a caveman. (Oops! Don't tell the GEICO guy I said that.) I succeeded in installing and training the program well enough to begin using it in less than an hour. I'm sure there are other solutions out there for those of us who won't be using Vista for a while yet; this fix to the loss of Speech in Office 2007 works for me. Good Luck. Robert |
