Couldnt find library MSVCR80.dll etc

When ever I put in the CD of COD 2 and try to play the game in single player mode, then I am getting the below error message:

Executable F:\setup\rsrc\cod2.exe™ had the following unrecoverable error:
Couldnt find library MSVCR80.dll (required by C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\OFFICE12\MSOXMLMF.DLL). Please make sure that it is installed/

But I have checked that MSVCR80.dll is installed or present in my computer with XP with SP2? The files full location is as follows: C:\MSOCache\All Users\{90120000-0115-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}-C

There was a solution given on the activision site that you can follow from the below quote:

"Windows Defender Beta has also been known to cause errors with the installer. These include errors referencing "msvcr80.dll" and "mpShHook.dll." If you currently have Windows Defender Beta 2.0 installed, it is recommended that you uninstall the program, install the game and then you can re-install Windows Defender on your system. "
