| Microsoft Document Image writer
I am in the process of trying to give my end users the ability to use a shared image writer to save TIF images to a network share. Rather than spend money on a third-party product, I’ve chosen to use the product Microsoft office Document Image Writer, which ships with Office. I’ve installed the printer/driver/software to a server and shared it in the AD, however the problem I am having is that I can not figure out how to set a default path to save the images to when the users save the TIF image. I want to specify this so that I decide where the image will be stored and not even give the end user the option to change it. I am looking for a way to automate if possible. Please help |

Hi C.H., Are you talking about the default folder that MS Office Document Image Writer 'prints to' or the folder MS Office Document Imaging Saves to? For the first choice setup a new 'Port' that has a file folder destimation. For the 2nd scenario there isn't a default setting other than to save to the folder where a TIF file was opened. Also note that if you are printing to TIF the pictures will be greyscale only. ========= <<"CH" <CH@dadada.com> wrote in message news:ukA7MxGoGHA.4628@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl...
