Microsoft Document Image writer

I am in the process of trying to give my end users the ability to use a
shared image writer to save TIF images to a network share. Rather than
spend money on a third-party product, I’ve chosen to use the product
Microsoft office Document Image Writer, which ships with Office. I’ve
installed the printer/driver/software to a server and shared it in the
AD, however the problem I am having is that I can not figure out how to
set a default path to save the images to when the users save the TIF
image. I want to specify this so that I decide where the image will be
stored and not even give the end user the option to change it. I am
looking for a way to automate if possible. Please help

Re: Microsoft Document Image writer

Hi C.H.,

Are you talking about the default folder that MS Office Document Image Writer 'prints to' or the folder MS Office Document Imaging
Saves to?

For the first choice setup a new 'Port' that has a file folder destimation. For the 2nd scenario there isn't a default setting
other than to save to the folder where a TIF file was opened. Also note that if you are printing to TIF the pictures will be
greyscale only.
