Outlook 2007 connection problems

Hi:
I had installed Office 2007 but I can download my email to my pst. I get an
error:

"Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Reciving' reported error (0x80040102):
'The requested operation cannot be performed on this account'

Help me please.

Re: Outlook 2007 connection problems

What version of Exchange are you using? Exchange 5.5 is not a supported
platform with Outlook 2007.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Elvin asked:

Re: Outlook 2007 connection problems

I have Exchange 2003 with the last service pack.

This error occurs only when I set the pst as the default data file. Outlook
can not access to exchange server.

Thanks

Are you connecting to both a POP3 account and an Exchange account in the
same profile?

Re: Outlook 2007 connection problems

No. I have only my Microsoft Exchange Connection.

I had deleted the profile and create it again but the error always is the
same.

Re: Outlook 2007 connection problems

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem. My e-mails are being sent, but downloading
incoming to the personal folders cannot be completed. (For now, I'm manually
moving them from server to the personal folders) At first I thought Outlook
2007 cannot work with my current PST because this one appeared to be in
97-2002 format, so I created a new PST file - still, the same error.
Any ideea?

Re: Outlook 2007 connection problems

I found an answer for this. Another [MVP-Outlook] answered to this -
Robert Sparnaaij.

Here's the response (link was too big...):

Roady [MVP] says:
Disable all your add-ins and try with a clean mail profile. I cannot
really
get it from your post what your default delivery location is but note
that
in BETA 2 you cannot have an Exchange account configured with a
pst-file as
the default delivery location.

Re: Outlook 2007 connection problems

Does MS intend to incorporate this in the FINAL release?? Alot of people
have Exchange and Personal Email and to have them in ONE profile would help
greatly.

An Exchange and Personal Email acct are still in the same profile, but
not delivered to the same Inbox. I don't what will happen in the final
release.

Problems opening Microsoft Outlook

Hi, I have Office 2007 Professional Plus. After installation, i was trying to set up the email account and typed in the incorrect information when asked about Microsoft Exchange server - i do not have an Exchange account. Was trying to type in my email information.

Now i get the following messages when i try to open Outlook:

1) Configuring Outlook accounts

2) The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action

3) Prompt for Microsoft Exchange – server name and mailbox

4) Cannot open your default email folders. The file C:\users\MLee\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is not an offline folder file

5) Outlook Closes

Another message is: Cannot start Microsoft office outlook. Cannot open outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:\users\MLee\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is not an offline folder file

How do i resolve this? i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but the same problem...

thanks!

Control Panel->Mail Icon->Accounts. Remove the Exchange account and install your own POP3 or IMAP account.

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
