    511974.MAINSP3ff.msp missing

I am using a very large hard drive. I had copied everything from the old drive to the new. Almost everything is working but if I am starting Word or Excel, I am gtting a message that tells me that the file 511974.MAINSP3ff.msp is missing. I have done a complete search of the hard drive, as well as the instalation disk. It is nowhere, and I am unable to run the repair stuff, as it will do nothing with this file. I am using Office XP, so anyone can help me it would be great.

It seems to me that Office was installed from an admin installation point. Can you tell us whether this was a company pc or personal computer? It it was a personal computer, have you go the CDs then? If so, then try to repair from Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs, Microsoft Office. If it is a company computer then try to repair it but I think you will need to ask your IT head for that.

    Simply do the following:
    1. Create a directory C:\OfficeXPSP3
    2. Download from Microsoft: OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu 58,925kB in
    this directory.
    3. Extract with WinZip this file
    4. Rename the file MAINSP3ff.msp to 511974.MAINSP3ff.msp
    Done!
    Download at night,
    be patient,
    sleep tight.
When you are asked for 511974.MAINSP3ff.msp browse to the created directory and point to created file 511974.MAINSP3ff.msp
Report me please for the simplicity and success.
