Outlook 2007 - How to open large .pst file from disk

I have got a CD with a .pst file that exceeds 3.3 gigs. Trying to open in Outlook 2007, I receive the "attachment too large to open" message. I have tried a couple of work-arounds, but no luck so far. Recommendations? Thanks.

I think that you will need to copy paste pst file in Outlook directory. Unless and until the file is not corrupt you can open it. The default location where pst files are stored is in C drive inside program files. For example C:\Documents and Settings\Len\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst. Do not forget to take a backup of your existing files or you will lost all your emails. Once you have backup, copy the file in this location and open outlook. You find all the mails in that.
