cannot empty clipboard

there are some errors to the clipboard, either "item not collected" or "cannot empty clipboard", but the clipboard is actually EMPTY! Print screen is not working either.

wondering whether it's because I installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro 10.0, before that, clipboard worked normally.

See if you are running remote desktop/terminal services and you are having issues in cutting and pasting as well, then you can try out the below simple solution:
First Go in to Task Manager > Processes
Check out for for "rdpclip.exe"
End that process

Just try it out and then let me know if that's helping.

I've restarted the computer, so no remote desktop/terminal services should be running. It can copy paste now, but still show "cannot empty clipboard" even when I use format painter.
There is no "rdpclip.exe" in the processes list.

In that case you can try out the below steps and see if the issue is getting solved or not:

• First of all, clear items from the Office Clipboard, if you are not able to get Office Clipboard in the task pane then just click on the Office Clipboard on the Edit menu and then click on "all clear" for clearing all the items from the Office Clipboard task pane.
• You can try out switching off the clipboard showing option and for that just select Office Clipboard from Edit Menu and select "Collect Without Showing Office Clipboard" in the selection button "Options".
