Need help to calculate Average of time in Microsoft Excel

Within Excel 2007, I need to calculate the average of the following time values in days, hours, minutes and seconds :

• 00:18:09:26
• 00:05:34:50
• 00:07:41:06
• 01:22:52:55
• 00:00:55:48

I have tried using =AVERAGE(A1:A5) and changing the format of the values to various settings, but keep getting DIV/O as the result.

For that you will need to use the delimit option to split the data and we approach the average function. Here are two screenshot will help you more :

Thanks for the response that was really helpful. I was looking for somekind of similar solution that can guide me for the process. I am not yet clear about the concept but might try to add some more in the same. Thanks.
