    Date alarm in Microsoft Excel

Is it possible to set a date the would give an alarm or warning when that date is about to become due (say 6 weeks in advance).

With your "Due date" in A1, put this in B1. The formula for the same is =IF(TODAY()>=A1-42,"WARNING",""). If you want your conditional formatting works on the last 10 days, for example, it is a little more complicated. With your date in column D:
    Jan. 1 are: = $ D1 <TODAY () no formatting.
    February 2 condition: D1 = $> TODAY () 10 no formatting.
    March 3 condition: D1 = $> TODAY () formatting in your format.
Otherwise, with one condition, there are some who have tried and they had problems

The question is whether there is a way to excel is an alarm outside. Anything is possible but it must be programmed. You can make a program that will periodically review your file and sends the alarm you want. For this one needs to precise specifications taking into account the working environment. These data should be sensitive and therefore should be treated professionally.
