Are you sure Function keys are enabled on your keyboard. Many keyboards have double-function function keys and use as F keys has to be enabled with another key. On my keyboard that is the F Lock key. Another way to use the same functionality is click on Menu > Tools > options > register > Edit > enable and then Edit directly in cell. |

Looks some kind of option has disabled F2. Try to check the same in Word or any other tool that is working or not. First you will have to find that it is a hardware fault or not. If still it is working try to run a repair setup of Microsoft Office. You can also try to disable Macros if any and then check back. |
