How to calculate exchange rate in Microsoft Excel

I need to be sure I am calculating an exchange rate correctly - using today's exchange rate for Dollar and Pound, what would be the cell formula to calculate, below:
    • USD GBP Exchange Rate
    • 750 543.44 0.72406

Also, would you know of a website that can help with other formulas such as timezone differences ie. enter UK/Burbank CA = GMT timezone /-8hrs ? Thank you - appreciate any help you can offer.

In your example, rate = 543.44 / 750 which equals 0.72459 on my calculator. As an Excel formula in C2: =B2/A2. To subtract 8 hours from a time in A10: =A10 - 8/24 as times are stored as fractions of a 24-hour day. Hope this helps.

To create the currency converter by itself, first open a new workbook and rename the sheet as 1 Rate as 2 and the sheet change. Change option on the sheet and reproduce the tables reproduced below, everyone can choose to format the cells as desired. Now we go on the Internet and choose a site that relates the exchange rates of currencies in relation to the euro. The next step is to 'import the data table on the site within our files. For this purpose we placed on our rate sheet workbook, data and visualize the Ribbon. At the beginning of the Data ribbon, buttons, find the section "External Data". Click the button to start the procedure from the Web site link internet. Our PC at this point the window should show "New Web Query".

Inside the top, find the field in which to insert the 'Web page address to connect and then click the Go button. On the page that you chose to display tags are shown positioning represented by small black arrows on yellow background. These tags identify the possible tables on the page itself. To select a table for the import just click on its tag, at this point appear to place a checkmark beside the black arrow on a green background, which tells us which page data will be imported into Excel. Us by clicking on the tag for the table containing the exchange rates. Let's click the Import button Import Data dialog box appears. We leave the option "in existing worksheet" and leave the cell = $ $ 1 in the space (this is where the data will be transcribed in the worksheet) > Click on OK.
