Office 2003 installed and office 2007 compatibility pack as well, saving problem

I have a user here who has Office 2003 installed and as well as 2007 compatibility pack. When she opens Word 2007 documents, she is always getting prompted to save them first. Other users with similar setup are able to open up the files without saving them first. How can I resolve this issue? I have looked at the settings and everything seems to be fine. Thanks

You can try to make Word 2007 Always Save in Word 2003 Format only. To change this setting, click on the Office Button in the upper left hand corner. Now click the Word Options button in the menu. Click on the Save tab, and then change the drop-down menu for “Save files in this format” to be “Word 97-2003 Document”.

Thanks for the reply, however that is not the issue. The user who is experiencing issue does not have Office 2007 but has Office 2003. Rather than to request the all the users who have Office 2007 to start saving in Office 2003, I would like to resolve the issue that only one person is having. If the issue was for all the users of Office 2003, then your solution would apply.

Did you try to remove all macros and updated the fields and possibly any addins like Adobe acrobat or similar programs that make changes to the template. Actually, when you do a print from Word, many functions can be activated. Look in Tools, Print, see if any of the top set of options are checked. Having these all blank will NOT change this function and you will often still get this save check.
