If it's been scanned you probably can't. If it came from text you may be
able to Select All, Cut, and Paste into something else. Have you tried
that?

I also recommend you to copy and paste text into Word, and edit the
text. Converting never does a perfect work.

However, you could try google, and tons of software is out there.

There are some applications available that will do this - some free, some
not. Do a google.
You may find that the conversion doesn't work very well...

Mr. PDF to Word Converter is unbelivable, almost keep original pdf page
layout, try it here: 'Mr. PDF 2 Word Converter'

Earle is right, if the PDF is a scanned one, you need a converter which
supports OCR technology, Google OCR converter, you can find some
programs.
If your PDF is just a normal one, I'm using a 'PDF to Word converter called
AnyBizSoft, you can have a try, it's easy and accurate.
Hope it helps.

If your PDF is a file created using Acrobat and not a scanned document, then you could see what this site has to offer to you and too for free!

Here is one with OCR and does PDF to Word and PDF to Excel. Used it a while
back for a big document and worked well for me.

There are several free online tools that work.

Tweak PDF to Word 3.0 is released to convert PDF to editable Word </a>for easier editing. The converter enjoys an exact conversion with the output Word retaining intact of all the original features of the PDF, including layout, image positioning, font, graphics, hyperlinks, etc. Encrypted PDF files can be converted to Word, too. It is a cost-effective and competent too.

You can try Advanced All To PDF 5.0 to test whether it helps or not. Any way I’m using it. Since you want to convert adobe PDF to word or excel
I think this advanced converter may help,as it retains all the features of the original file, including mathematical symbols.Try to see is it true or not.
