What is the keyboard shortcut Format Painter

I am not able to find out a keyboard shortcut for using format painter. After upgrading to Office 2007 I am not able to use different kinds of shortcuts. None of them are working fine. I am looking for proper command that I can use for format painter. I tried to find that on web but not able to find out anything similar to the same. I hope there will be some way to use it through keyboard.

I think you can try Ctrl+Shift+C. This is used to pick a style. And to apply a style you will need to use Ctrl + Shift + V. So this are the two shortcut that you can use. I am not really sure about any other than this. I hope there will be something more available. You can try finding the same on Microsoft Help. Just hit F1 and then check out.

Thanks for the same. There are more shortcuts but somehow it looks that there are many changes compare to the older version and also the shortcuts have become more difficult in usage. Using 3 keys at a time is simply not easy. It becomes a bit uncomfortable to use.

I have a question about this. What about when you want to paint something that isn't adjacent to the active cell.

The Alt+h+FP applies to the next cell you travel to with a keyboard.

In excel 2007 and 2010: Instead of using the shortcut for the format painter just use Ctrl+C to copy. Then to paste just the formats use a paste special for formats only: Alt+H+V+S+T.

This will allow you to use the keyboard only and not reach for the mouse.

    Hope this helps.

I paste the formats as well but here is a different way to accomplish this.

Copy cells of the format you would like to copy
    Crtl+C

Paste Special the Format in the 1st cell of the range of cells you want to format.
    Alt
    - E
    - S
    - T
