Office 2007 converter for office 2003

Can anyone tell me how to configure the office 2007 converted pack to be able to open and convert a docx file but when you click save, then it defaults to a .doc? I thought of writing some VBA code to force a save on opening the correct format but I was wondeting if the converter can be configured to allow the opening of the docx but not allow the saving of the docx files, I just thought to give it a try.

There is on convertor available. You have to save the file with doc extension to open them in Office 2003 format. Or the most easiest way is to upgrade to Office 2007. That would be quiet more than enough. Because in the new edition you can simply open any kind of file format. That is quiet less complicated. While if you try to use some convertor there are chances that your file data can be corrupted.
