You don't uninstall the Activation Wizard -- it's part of Office.

How to uninstall activation wizard on new HP laptop

I have a brand new HP laptop that came preinstalled with MS Office 2007
student edition.

I want to install BOTH 2003 and 2007 (full versions).

I have uninstalled the 2007 Student Edition -- but the Wizard is NOT showing
in the uninstall list.

How do I remove it? (I am assuming it is necessary to remove it.

Thanks in Advance.

Re: How to uninstall activation wizard on new HP laptop

The activation wizard is integrated into Office -- it's not a separate
installation. If it were a separate installation then in order to by-pass
activation folks simply wouldn't install it. If you uninstall Office the
activation wizard is also uninstalled since it's part of Office. When you
uninstall Office the activation wizard is also uninstalled.

Your Office is not uninstalled completely and that is why you are seeing the Wizard.

Re: How to uninstall activation wizard on new HP laptop

But I am uninstalling Office 2007 (actually -- I've already uninstalled the
Student Edition) -- because I want to install 2003. The new machine came
with 2007 Student Edition pre-installed. I have a COMPLETE version
(including Access & Pub) for 2003.

Will having the activation wizard leftover from 2007 -- cause me any problem
when I begin to install 2003?

This is a 64 bit Vista -- and does have MS Works installed.

Bottom line -- can I go ahead and install 2003 without having problems???
