office 2007 invalid product key

I had bought Office 2007 disc from a online shopping website. It is a legit edition. There was key on the cd cover. The setup was ok. But when I go to activate the same I am getting a error on my screen saying that it is a invalid key. I am not able to understand why the error appear. I re-installed Office back again and still the error is same. The key is termed as invalid. I had dropped a email to the seller but he had not yet responded. What should I do know.

Check the key properly. It is a 25digit key with hyphen after every 5 digit which is a combination of number and alphabet. I think you are missing something. You must type the complete key properly in the key box or else this error will not go. If still you think that the key you got is not proper you have to wait back for the reply of vendor. It is would be useless to contact Microsoft. You can hope for getting a replacement key for the same.

Check for Multiple Version of Office because office 2007 will not allow you to upgrade with the previous version. Also Remove this Registration key.

and then Try to Install office
