[outlook 2003 and word 2007] picture in signature; broken link

I recently started using Outlook. On my laptop I’m using Office 2003 and version 2007 on my desktop. Yesterday I made a signature with an image using MS Word 207. I want to put this signature in Outlook 2003 but when I try doing the same, Image gets broken. It wont display in my Outlook.

Can anyone please tell me how can we put signature with images in Outlook in 2003? Thank you.

If you want to put signature in Outlook 2003, why don’t you simply use Word 2003 for making your picture signature? As far as I know Outlook 2003 cannot use Word 2007 as its editor.

Yes, you are correct Hawkins. Outlook requires the same version of Word, if used as the editor. Simply create the signature in something other than Word, or you can also copy\paste the picture in to the signature. But, if I was the recipient of your e-mails, the last option would be the preferred one.

You will need to make your signature in Word 2003, it is quite logical and stands for many other softwares. As you might be knowing Word 2007 was created after 4 years when Outlook 2003 was released. Expecting earlier software to understand a significantly different software written later is quite unrealistic to say the least.
