Outlook 2003 SP2 crashes sometimes while opening "other contacts"

At our office there are several PCs connected to a Domain, including mine. All these connected systems are using Outlook 2003 SP2 with Exchange 2003 SP2. Its been a month we are facing few problems with Outlook but now from past 2 days Outlook started crashing whenever we click on any contact in "other contacts." This is happening on all workstations.

When I checked the application Log, I found this:

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8010.0, stamp 43d16d53, faulting module emsmdb32.dll, version 11.0.8000.0, stamp 43599ef9, debug? 0, fault address 0x00091956.

I need help...I have a windows 7 operating system and have been running Outlook 2003....it usually works but occasionally I get a message saying that "Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working" and then it says it is checking for a solution which it never finds. I spoke to a tech at Staples today and he said that there is a compatibility issue between windows 7 and outlook 2003...I really don't want to spend a couple of hundred dollars to update to a later version of office...I've tried all the suggestions and none have worked for me...anything else I can do?
