Office 2003 and 2007 on same computer?

I was running Office 2003 on Windows Vista desktop. Many people said that we can run Office 2003 and 2007 altogether on the same PC without removing one. As I wanted to test this new 2007 version, I downloaded and installed Off 2007 without uninstalling my 2003. But it overwrote my off 2003 without even informing or asking me to overwrite. Damn. Now the problem is most of my work is based on version 2003 and I wanted to test few stuffs with v2007.

So I wanted to know whether there is any way we can make them both work on the same computer. Also if I install Office 2003 again will it remove or overwrite Office 2007? All suggestions appreciated.

Here is a very well written Knowledge Base Article provided by Microsoft describing “Information about using 2007 Office suites and programs on a computer that is running another version of Office” http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928091/en-us. Officially it is allowed to install more than one version of Microsoft Office on a single computer but they don’t recommend it.

I’ll suggest you to better your office 2007 to use office 97-2003 format by default OR simply download and install Office 2007 compatibility pack. You can download the same from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
