The second one is, i think, around ten percent fast than the first one. Can say exactly which 1 is much better but i would figure it out as the following reasons, that Q9300 is somewhat better than the other. The reasons are-
- Q9300 is theoretically more overclockable than Q6700.
- Q9300 runs much cooler than Q6700 as the former is built on 45nm high-k process while the latter is built on 65nm process.
- Q9300 will give better performance than Q6700 if SSE4 is joined into the application.
- Q6700 frequency is 1066 Mhz while Q9300 is 1333 Mhz. That means the bandwidth for Q9300 is more which is appreciable. But to note that while overclocking, Q9300 has a limiting factor of 7.5 multi. Also it has L2 of 6mb while the other has 8 mb of L2.
But still i would suggest Q9300 as it has more efficient architecture and is a newly built with some tough features.
Wow, that is great comparison. That is a bit of something i was looking for. Great work XDRoX.
Now i am going to get Q9000 as its price is also lowered.
