Yep, any other cabinet + VIP's PowerSafe SMPS would be a good decision, since the VIP cabinets are pretty plane-jane (and not modder friendly). A pity the SMPS alone costs more! But well worth the price.
I guess you could try looking at the lower end of Antec cabinets, since the cabinets are pretty eye pleasing + the SMPS is top-notch as well. Not too sure but I think prices start at 3.5K? (Somebody familiar with the prices please let us know).

You could easily find a better looking cabinet that appeals more to you and fit it with the VIP SMPS. iBox cabinets are pretty good in looks. Have a look at all the iBox models, and keep an eye on which one has proper ventilation i.e. there should be sufficient provision for placing extra case fans, and the general layout of the cabinet should be well built and neat. But proper case ventilation is of utmost importance in helping keep your components running cool and healthy. Front USB ports + Audio ports would be a bonus too (but you could always mod the case and put those in yourself as well)

Anybody knows the Antec Dealer in Delhi?? I am looking for a good Antec cabinet here. I was told that the prices of the Antec goods have come down in the last one-two months. But I could not locate an Antec dealer in Delhi

Try not to post again, if you've posted just a few minutes back. Instead try using the "Edit" button at the bottom right corner of your post to include some more details in your post.

Antec SMPS are slightly better than the VIP smps's, but they're almost twice as expensive. Starting prices for Antec SMPS's are 3.5K. No idea about Mumbai dealers, but most folks get their cases shipped from a place called ITDepot in Chennai.

Radeon 9800 pro is 380 mhz clockspeed, and 340 mhz Memory speed
    Radeon 9800 XT is 412/365.
The AMD prices are correct. and the proccy will be obviously available from the sources that gave you the price. The mobo price is also correct
VIP 450watts SMPS for 200 bucks!!! I find that hard to believe...

OK, got a reply from the Cyber Abacus guys. Here it goes:

"We are still in the process of appointing a distributor at Delhi for ANTEC. Meanwhile we are shipping all the products through GATI courier for our clients at Delhi. The P160 is out of stock and is expected in three weeks time. The Performance Plus 1080 is available for immediate dispatch for Rs 7850.00 plus 10% Central sales tax for a total of Rs 8635.00".

So no Antec dealers in Delhi yet! How do you guys think about the price? It is $116 at zipzoomfly

This case comes with the True430 SMPS thats why it costs this much. But this price is lower than what I was told when I bought my P160. I actually went to buy the 1080 but all the GLITTER AND SHINE of the P160 Aluminium case got me. If you want a lower price and dont want the 430w SMPS ask the importer for a price accordingly - I understand they will remove the SMPS if you dont want it.

    Hi Ricard!
    Thanks! I'll ask the importer.
How is your experience with the TruePower? I remember you were having some problems with it. Have they been solved?

Why would you want to not opt for the Antec TruePower SMPS? I'd figure the SMPS alone would be the a pretty good for choosing an Antec cabinet!

That is because I already have an Antec Smartpower 350W SMPS. This one is working fine. I also heard from some people that they are/were having problems with Antec Truepower.

Dashu: we would love to know about those problems. at least i would. i am planning to buy true480 (whenever i can manage cash) and would love to have some heads up about those problems.
i too asked theitdepot people about removing the power supply from Plus 1080 and guess what i was told. they will reduce just 1500 bucks from the price of the cabinet!!! can you believe it? if you buy the same power supply separately it costs you somewhere around 4500 bucks and they will give you just 1500 bucks. talk about that.
